Traditional martial arts have become a cultural heritage, a specialty of the People of Binh Dinh Province.
Here, the tourists can watch not only demonstrations by professional teams but also the training by ordinary citizens of such famous martial art villages like Thuan Truyen (Binh Thuan Commune, Tay Son District) and An Vinh (Nhon Phuc Commune, An Nhon District), the former is well-knownfor talented female and the latter for martial artists. Both villages were the cradles of Binh Dinh traditional martial arts.
Tourists may come to the Quang Trung Museum or any of the several clubs in Quy Nhon – Phan Tho Club (Binh Nghi commune, Tay Son District), Ho Cuong Club (Binh Thuan, Tay Son), Ly Xuan Hy Club (Dap Da, An Nhon), and Phi Long Vinh Club (Phuoc Son, Tuy Phuoc) to watch demonstrations of the traditional martial arts performed amid the Tay Son drum sounds by yound men and young women. With that great spirit, Binh Dinh Province successfully organized the first International Festival of Traditional Martial Arts in Vietnam in 2006. A second festival has been planed for 2008 also in Binh Dinh province.
